Built on blockchain technology, OriginTrail is a decentralized knowledge graph that enables trustworthy and verifiable AI systems. This innovative platform is designed to organize knowledge in a way that combines the strengths of symbolic AI with the creativity of neural AI technologies, creating a robust decentralized AI infrastructure.

At the heart of OriginTrail's technology lies its Decentralized Knowledge Graph (DKG), which is a trusted, decentralized data structure that enhances AI systems with more accurate, accessible, and verifiable knowledge. The DKG transforms data into discoverable and trusted Knowledge Assets, ensuring that both humans and machines can access the truth when it matters most. This is achieved through the use of three key layers in its neuro-symbolic AI stack: trust layer, knowledge base layer, and verifiable AI layer.

OriginTrail's platform has a wide range of real-world applications across various industries, including internet content, supply chains, transportation, life sciences and healthcare, industry 4.0, sports organizations, construction, and decentralized science. For instance, the Swiss national rail company, SBB, uses OriginTrail's DKG for real-time traceability and quality data, while Umanitek leverages the platform to make AI ethical and the internet safer with decentralized knowledge.

The OriginTrail community is actively engaged in building and governing the platform, with a growing number of institutions on TRAC(k) and a significant amount of TRAC tokens staked.
